Liane Moitzi (born September 18, 1992 in Judenburg ) is an Austrian politician of the FPÖ . On June 16, 2015, she was sworn in as a member of the Styrian state parliament , of which she was a member until December 17, 2019.

education

Moitzi attended the federal high school after elementary school and then switched to the commercial academy in Judenburg, which she graduated with the Matura .

Political career

Moitzi, who comes from Fohnsdorf , joined the Ring Freiheitlicher Jugend (RFJ) in 2009 . There she became district chairwoman in the Murtal, where she initiated the founding of several local RFJ groups, and from 2013 she was deputy regional chairwoman. In June 2017 she was elected as the successor to Stefan Hermann as regional chairwoman of the RFJ Styria.

In 2014 Moitzi became a parliamentary assistant to Mario Kunasek , who was a member of the FPÖ in the National Council at the time, and Walter Rauch .

In the 2015 municipal council elections , Moitzi ran for the FPÖ in Judenburg and was able to secure a seat on the municipal council there . It was sworn in on April 21, 2015 during the constituent meeting of the municipal council.

On April 3, 2015 it was officially announced that Moitzi would run for the 2015 state elections as a youth candidate on the state list of the FPÖ. On June 16, 2015, she was sworn in as the youngest member of the state parliament.

In the state parliament, Moitzi was a member of the committees for education (education, school, childcare, youth, women, family and sport), agriculture (agriculture and forestry) and petitions . After the state elections in 2019 , she left the state parliament.

There is no relationship to Wolfgang Moitzi , who is also from Judenburg .
