Stefan Hermann (politician)

Stefan Hermann (born June 28, 1985 in Bruck an der Mur ) is an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ). In December 2017 he was elected FPÖ club chairman in the Styrian state parliament. On 16 January 2018 he was appointed as member of the provincial Styria sworn in .

Life

Stefan Hermann was born the son of a teacher and a tax advisor and grew up in Feldkirchen near Graz , where he attended elementary school. From 1995 he attended the Bundesgymnasium and Bundesrealgymnasium Pestalozzistraße in Graz, where he graduated in 2003 . He then began studying law at the University of Graz , completing his master's degree in 2009. He also completed a degree in business law as a Master of Business Law (MBL).

For several years he was parliamentary assistant and spokesman for Mario Kunasek . He was also regional chairman of the Ring Freiheitlicher Jugend (RFJ) in Styria , and Liane Moitzi succeeded him in this role in June 2017 . In the state elections in Styria in 2015 , he acted as campaign leader for the Freedom Party.

From 2005 to 2015 he was a councilor in Feldkirchen near Graz , and has been vice mayor there since 2015.

In December 2015 he was elected as the successor to Mario Kunasek as state party secretary of the FPÖ Styria, in December 2017 as Kunasek's successor as FPÖ club chairman in the state parliament of Styria .
