Robert Reif

Robert Reif (born October 4, 1987 ) is an Austrian politician ( NEOS - Das Neue Österreich und Liberales Forum ). He has been a member of the Styrian state parliament since December 17, 2019 .

Life

After primary school in Pöls, Robert Reif attended secondary school in Oberzeiring , from 2002 to 2005 the HTBLA Kaindorf and from 2005 to 2008 the technical school for mechanical engineering at the technical college in Zeltweg .

In 2008/09 he was employed by the legal service provider DAS Rechtsschutz , then worked for an insurance broker and as an assembly fitter. In 2009/10 he was a trainer and professional firefighter at the Ra's al-Khaimah fire station in the United Arab Emirates . After returning to Austria, he was a machine operator and owner of a coffee house. From 2014 he attended the Spar Academy and passed the master craftsman examination in 2017 . In 2018 he became the store manager of a savings store.

politics

He has been active for NEOS since the 2019 European elections . In the 2019 National Council election , he was ranked 24th in the Styrian constituency and third in the Eastern Styria regional constituency .

In the state elections in 2019 , he ran behind top candidate Nikolaus Swatek in second place on the list. In the election, NEOS achieved a basic mandate in the Landtag constituency 1 and were thus able to move into the Landtag of Styria for the first time with two members . On December 17, 2019, Reif was born at the beginning of the XVIII. Legislative term as a deputy sworn in . For NEOS Steiermark he acts as a regional manager in the Murtal and is a member of the thematic groups Culture and Youth and Sustainability.
