Ewald Schalk

Ewald Schalk (born December 4, 1970 ) is an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ). He has been a member of the Styrian state parliament since December 17, 2019 .

Life

Ewald Schalk works as a farmer . In 2016 he became FPÖ local party chairman in Bad Waltersdorf , where he was also elected 2nd Vice Mayor . In the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district he functions as the FPÖ district party chairman, and until 2017 he was the chairman of the Freedom Peasantry (FB) Styria.

In the 2019 state elections , he ran for 17th place on the state list and behind top candidate Mario Kunasek after the withdrawal of Anton Kogler in second place in the state electoral district 2 (Eastern Styria).

On December 17, 2019 he was at the beginning of the XVIII. Legislative term as Member of the state parliament of Styria sworn in , where he was a member of the Economic and Science and in the Committees on Petitions, agriculture, infrastructure and finance. In the FPÖ state parliament club, he is responsible for the areas of senior citizens, tourism and business.
