Alexandra Pichler-Jessenko (born October 15, 1966 in Graz ) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). She has been a member of the Styrian state parliament since 2010 .

Pichler-Jessenko was sworn in on November 9, 2010 in the state parliament. There she is the spokesperson for the ÖVP for industry, finance and housing. She gave her first speech on April 27, 2011 on the subject of state estimates . After the state election in 2019 , she was in the second session of the XVIII. Legislative period on January 21, 2020 once again sworn in as a member of the Styrian state parliament . She succeeded an ÖVP government member of the Schützenhöfer II state government formed in December 2019 .

Since June 4, 2013, Pichler-Jessenko has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Holding Graz Kommunale Dienstleistungen GmbH .

education and profession

From 1986 to 1991 Pichler-Jessenko studied business administration at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz . She supplemented this in 1989 with a semester abroad for Italian and Economia in Siena .

After completing his studies, Pichler-Jessenko completed several advanced training courses. So in 1995/96 the trainer training “Lecturer for Adult Education” at the Economic Development Institute (WIFI) Styria, from 2006 to 2008 seminars on personality development / self-reflection and in 2007/08 training as a systemic coach at WIFI Styria.

After completing her studies until 1994 she was the head of the marketing department at Graz Tourismus GmbH, where she was responsible for processing market research projects, classic advertising and public relations .

In addition, from 1992 she worked for many years as a trainer in adult education in the field of marketing / communication / personality development and as a university lecturer in the Marketing & Sales course at the University of Applied Sciences Campus 02 Graz . At the Pedagogical Academy of the WIFI, she supervised the course for communications clerk.

In 1994 the agency Biedermann & Jessenko for marketing and communication was founded in partnership with Luise Biedermann-Weitzendorf. There she held the management. The agency was dissolved in 2005. In 2006 Pichler-Jessenko founded his own agency for market research and communication in Graz .
