Veronika Nitsche

Veronika Nitsche (born March 28, 1971 in Zams , Tyrol ) is an Austrian politician for the Greens . She has been a member of the Styrian state parliament since December 17, 2019 .

Life

Veronika Nitsche attended the Bundesrealgymnasium in Landeck from 1981 , where she graduated in 1990 . She then completed a two-year college for fashion and clothing technology. Then she began studying law at the University of Vienna (until 1997). In 2002/03 she completed a university course in international project management at the University of Graz , and in 2004/05 she obtained a Master of Business Administration .

Since 2001 she has been working as a project manager at the World University Service Austria (WUS Austria) association, where she has also been responsible for finance since 2014.

She has been active in the St. Leonhard district group since 2017 and has been a member of the board of the Greens in Graz since November 2018 (Alternative List Graz, ALG). In the 2019 state elections , she ran for fifth place on the state list. On December 17, 2019 she was at the beginning of the XVIII. Legislative term as Member of the Landtag Styria sworn in , where it acts in the open parliamentary club as a spokesperson for human rights, diversity, science and research.

Nitsche is married and has one daughter. After working in Vienna and Bosnia, she has lived in Graz since 2001 .
