Udo Hebesberger

Udo Hebesberger (born December 15, 1981 ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). Since January 21, 2020 he has been a member of the Styrian state parliament .

Life

Udo Hebesberger grew up in Lungau in the state of Salzburg and attended the Bundesoberstufenrealgymnasium (BORG) in Murau in Styria , where he was also head of school from 1998 to 2000. In addition, from 1999 to 2001 he was the Styrian state chairman of the Action Critical Students (AKS).

In the 2004 municipal council elections he ran in Tamsweg in tenth place on the list, received a direct mandate through preferential votes and was the SPÖ's municipal representative until 2009. From 2004 to 2006 he was also district chairman of the Jusos Lungau. After various jobs in the hospitality industry and as a delivery agent at Österreichische Post AG, he was employed by the SPÖ Styria until autumn 2012, and from 2005 to 2010 he was regional manager of the Socialist Youth Styria in Graz . In 2008/09 he moved to Raaba , where he was a member of the local council from 2012 until the congregation was merged as part of the Styrian communal structural reform. His grandfather Florian Spreitzer was district secretary of the SPÖ in Lungau, his aunt Monika Sodar was SPÖ vice mayor in Tamsweg.
