Ursula Lackner (* 1960 in Graz ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and state employee. From 2000 she was a member of the Styrian Landtag , from October 21, 2010 she was the third President of the Landtag and from January 22nd 2013 she was the second President of the Landtag. Since June 16, 2015 she has been state councilor of the state government Schützenhöfer I and Schützenhöfer II .

Life

After finishing elementary and secondary school in Graz, Lackner attended the federal upper level grammar school Hasnerplatz, which she graduated with the Matura . She then studied German and history / social studies as a teacher at the University of Graz and completed her probationary year at the BG / BRG Oeverseegasse. This was followed by management and project management at ISOP Steiermark. In 1992 she took over the management of the SPÖ Graz-Umgebung, and in 1996 moved to the political office of LR Günter Dörflinger as a consultant for youth affairs. From 2001 to 2010 she was employed in the Styrian State Archives.

Lackner has represented the SPÖ in the state parliament since 2000. From 2002 to 2004 she was also the regional chairwoman of Kinderfreunde Steiermark and in 2001 took over the office of deputy district chairman of the SPÖ Graz-Umgebung. Lackner was area spokeswoman for health and hospitals of the SPÖ state parliament club. From October 21, 2010 to January 21, 2013 she was the third president of the Styrian state parliament. From January 22nd, 2013 she was the second president of the Styrian state parliament.

Lackner has been state councilor for youth, education, family and women in the Schützenhöfer I state government since June 16, 2015 .
