Anna Rieder

Anna Rieder (born December 6, 1943 in Uherské Hradiště ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Rieder was regional councilor in the Styrian regional government from 1996 to 2000 .

Rieder studied law at the University of Graz and received his doctorate on July 14, 1966. She was a member of the Styrian state parliament and was elected to the Styrian state government on January 23, 1996. Rieder took over the social department and resigned from the state parliament on November 7, 2000 after the SPÖ's defeat in the state elections in Styria in 2000 and the loss of a seat in government. As a result, Rieder moved back to the Landtag, where she held the office of 2nd President of the Styrian Landtag between 2000 and 2005.

She is the president of the Styrian Youth Association .
