Helga Ahrer (born November 5, 1967 in Eisenerz ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) and employee of the Personenverkehr AG of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). She has been a member of the Styrian state parliament since 2010 .

In addition to her function as a member of parliament, she is a member of the presidium and board of the SPÖ regional women. In addition, she is a member of the presidium and board of the Styrian SPÖ. She is also deputy chairwoman of the district women, SPÖ chairwoman of the city women in Leoben and deputy chairwoman of the city ​​party in Leoben. Since February 6, 2014 she has also been a councilor for the city of Leoben. Ahrer is also the deputy SPÖ regional club chairwoman and regional women chairwoman of her party in Styria.

After the state election in 2019 , she was in the second session of the XVIII. Legislative period on January 21, 2020 once again sworn in as a member of the Styrian state parliament . She replaced a member of the SPÖ government in the Schützenhöfer II state government formed in December 2019 .
