Patrick Derler

Patrick Derler (born November 24 or November 25, 1986 ) is an Austrian politician of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ). He has been a member of the Styrian state parliament since December 17, 2019 .

Life

Derler has been involved in the FPÖ since 2009. In 2009 he became chairman of the Ring Freedom Youth (RFJ) in Weiz , of which he is a board member in the Styrian national organization. After the municipal council election in 2010 , he became a member of the municipal council in Haslau bei Birkfeld . In 2011 he became works council at Andritz Hydro in Weiz , where he later became works council chairman and central works council. In 2014 he became a councilor in the Styrian Chamber of Labor . After the Styrian municipal structural reform and the municipal council election in 2015 , he was elected 2nd Vice Mayor of the merged market town of Birkfeld .

Derler has been the personal advisor to FPÖ state party leader Mario Kunasek since 2018 . At the end of March 2019, Derler was elected as the successor to Erich Hafner as FPÖ district party chairman in the Weiz district.

In the 2019 state elections , he ran for the 21st place on the state list and behind Mario Kunasek and Ewald Schalk on the third place in the state electoral district 2 (Eastern Styria). On December 17, 2019 he was at the beginning of the XVIII. Legislative term as Member of the state parliament of Styria sworn in , where he was a member of the Committee on Education, Society and Health and the committees on petitions, agriculture and infrastructure. In the FPÖ state parliament club, he is responsible for the areas of work, the disabled, family, apprentices and care.
