Michaela Grubesa (2017)

Michaela Grubesa (born February 1, 1989 in Radstadt ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). She was sworn in as a member of the Styrian state parliament on June 16, 2015 . Grubesa lives in Bad Aussee .

Grubesa, who has a Croatian migration background , started her political career in 2011 with the Socialist Youth (SJ). On October 5, 2013 she was elected to the regional executive committee of the Socialist Youth Styria and subsequently rose to the position of managing director of the Socialist Youth Styria. She is a law student.

Grubesa was nominated as a youth candidate of the SPÖ for the Styrian state parliament. The mother of a child would like to get involved in the state parliament primarily on issues such as living together, diversity, mobility or young living in the state politics of the SPÖ.

After the state elections, Grubesa caused displeasure when she announced that she would put up “bitter resistance at all levels” against coalition negotiations with the FPÖ . She thus contradicted SPÖ-Styria boss Franz Voves and referred to a current resolution from 2009 that excludes SPÖ-FPÖ coalitions.
