Lianjiang (Fuzhou)
Lianjiang or Lienchiang ( Chinese 連江縣 / 连江县 , Pinyin Liánjiāng Xiàn , W.-G. Lien²chiang¹ Hsien⁴ ) is a district that belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture -level city of Fuzhou in the Chinese province of Fujian .
Lianjiang County, located in the north of Fuzhou on the coast of the East China Sea , has an area of 1,190.7 km² and 613,100 inhabitants (end of 2003).

- Large community Xiao'ao (晓 澳 镇), 18.9 km², 38,147 inhabitants;
- Large community of Donghu (东湖 镇), 45 km², 14,848 inhabitants;
- Greater community Danyang (丹阳镇), 112 square kilometers, 26,092 inhabitants;
- Changlong municipality (长龙 镇), 73 km², 11,363 inhabitants;
- Large community of Toupu (透 堡镇), 25.1 km², 20,080 inhabitants;
- Large municipality of Mabi (马 鼻 镇), 34 km², 41,745 inhabitants;

Mazu Islands
The Mazu Islands off the coast with about 10,000 inhabitants, which are under the control of the Republic of China in Taiwan , are historically part of Lianjiang County. The People's Republic of China regards the archipelago as the " Mazu Municipality " ( 馬祖 鄉 / 马祖 乡 ) of their Lianjiang County. The islands are administered by the Republic of China as " Lianchiang County " ( 連江縣 / 连江县 ) of "Fujian Province (Republic of China)" from Jincheng (Kinmen) , making the county an administrative unit of both the People's Republic and the Republic of China.
