Lidia Isac (born March 27, 1993 in St. Petersburg , Russia ) is a Moldovan singer . She represented Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm .

life and career

Lidia Isac studied piano at a music college in Moldova from the age of 13 until 2008 and took part in several international music competitions.

As a member of the Glam Girls duo, she tried the Moldovan preliminary decision O Melodie Pentru Europa in 2013 (12th place with Celebrate ), 2014 ( You Believed In Me ) and 2015 (14th place solo with I Can't Breathe and in a duet with Magia ) to win. In 2016 she finally won the final of the preliminary round with the international composition Falling Stars by Gabriel Alares, Sebastian Lestapier and Leonid Gutkin and therefore represented Moldova in the first ESC semifinals in Stockholm. The composer team had already achieved fifth place in 2013 and second place in 2015 for Russia at the respective ESC finals. Lidia Isac could not qualify for the final of the 2016 competition.
