Liro Vendelino Meurer
Liro Vendelino Meurer (born July 13, 1954 in Salvador do Sul , Rio Grande do Sul , Brazil ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Santo Ângelo .
Life
Liro Vendelino Meurer received on 12 December in 1981 by the Archbishop of Porto Alegre , João Cláudio Colling , the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On January 14, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Thucca in Numidia and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Passo Fundo . The Archbishop of Porto Alegre, Dadeus Grings , donated him episcopal ordination on March 22nd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Rio Grande , José Mário Stroeher , and the Bishop of Passo Fundo, Pedro Ercílio Simon .
Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Santo Ângelo on April 24, 2013 . The inauguration took place on June 16 of the same year.
