Lisa Dräger
Lisa Dräger , née Lisa Jansen , (born August 20, 1920 in Hamburg-Rissen ; † February 18, 2015 in Lübeck ) was a German entrepreneur's wife and patroness in Lübeck.
Life
After attending school in Itzehoe , she completed an apprenticeship as a technical draftsman in Berlin . She then found a job in the medical-technical department of the Drägerwerk in 1941 . In 1947 she married Heinrich Dräger . For him it was the third marriage. There were four children, two daughters and two sons from this marriage. We owe the couple various initiatives for the protection of monuments and the hiking trail on the Wakenitz ("Drägerweg").
Lisa Dräger was co-founder of the Lübeck local association of the German Child Protection Association in 1960 , which she later made an honorary member. She played a major role in setting up a memorial for Thomas Mann and his brother Heinrich in the Buddenbrookhaus and in maintaining the Behnhaus ( Drägerhaus ) and building the Lisa von Lübeck ship . The German Life Saving Society , she was joined as a sponsor; A lifeboat that is often used to accompany regattas is named after her . She was one of the founders of the Zonta International service club in Lübeck and was its local president in 1986/1987. She initiated the non-profit organization Weltkulturgut Hansestadt Lübeck, founded in 1991, which she appointed honorary chairman. In 1999 she endowed a visiting professorship for the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences . In 2008 she was the editor of a book about the early years of the Drägerwerk. In 2009 she founded the open Lisa Dräger Foundation. Its purpose is, among other things, to support the cooperative educational aid, preventive school funding and the society of world cultural property Hanseatic City of Lübeck. The foundation is headed by her daughter Marianne Dräger (* 1954).
Lisa Dräger died on February 18, 2015 at the age of 94.
