Lisa Macheiner
Lisa Macheiner (born January 23, 1914 in Wiener Neustadt ; † December 2, 1986 in East Berlin ) was an Austrian actress .
Life
Macheiner made her acting debut in Innsbruck in 1931, before moving to Munich through engagements in Vienna and Prague, where she stayed until 1956. She then moved to the GDR and worked at the Volksbühne from 1958 to 1959 , and later at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin until 1986 . As a member of the ensemble, Macheiner celebrated great successes and became a sought-after actress.
Aside from her stage work, she has also worked in front of the camera since the mid-1930s, for example in her debut film Hoheit tanzt Walzer , then still under the name Liesl Macheiner . She then concentrated primarily on her stage career and turned down various film offers for years. It was not until the mid-1950s that she resumed her film work. The television of the GDR occupied it several times for television movies and games, but they also acted in DEFA with -Spielfilmen, as in Orpheus in the Underworld (1974).
