Lisa Rexhäuser (born April 15, 1990 in Suhl ) is a former German ski jumper .

Career

Rexhäuser initially practiced cross-country skiing and began ski jumping in 1999. After initially competing in the Nordic combined , she finally switched to special jumping, where she competed in her first international competition in the summer of 2003. On February 8, 2005, she took part in a competition of the newly introduced Continental Cup in Schönwald for the first time , and four days later she also competed in Baiersbronn . In the following season 2005/06 she played most of the jumping, where she always achieved results in midfield. This earned her a nomination for the Junior World Championship in Kranj , Slovenia , where she finished twelfth. After Rexhäuser could not take part in the 2006 summer jumping due to a torn cruciate ligament , she returned to the COC in February 2007. There she showed an increase in performance compared to the previous season and was consistently placed in the top ten. On February 14, 2007 she reached her only podium with second place in Baiersbronn. Despite the increase in performance, she was only 11th at the Junior World Championship in Tarvisio . At the seventh German Championship held on August 7, 2007 in Meinerzhagen , she was able to win gold in the individual. After a mixed season 2007/08, which she finished with a 28th place at the Junior World Championships in Zakopane , Rexhäuser surprisingly announced her retirement from active competitive sport in the summer of 2008 because she felt inhibited from jumping after a serious fall.

Rexhäuser lives in Hinternah and has a brother. During her active career, she attended the Oberhof sports high school . She reached her best distance of 110 m in 2005 in Hinterzarten on the Adlerschanze .
