Lisnagarvey HC

The Lisnagarvey Hockey Club, located in Hillsborough, County Down , is one of Ireland's most successful hockey clubs . "Garvey" was founded in September 1901 at the Temperance Institute in Lisburn . Lisnagarvey is the former Irish name of Lisburn. The club grounds of the LHC, which opened in 2006 and have two artificial turf pitches, are located around one kilometer east of Hillsborough Castle , the residential palace of the British monarchs in Northern Ireland. The club, which has around 700 members, plays in the colors navy, light blue and white and provides seven men's teams and five women's teams. The club is a member of the Irish Hockey Association through the regional Ulster Hockey Union. The 1st men play in the Premier League of the Ulster Senior League. In 2012, the team won the Irish Hockey League, which was played in parallel, for the first time, making it part of the Euro Hockey League for the first time in 2012/2013. There, after a 3: 3 against Lille MHC and a 0: 3 against HC Bloemendaal , the team reached the round of 16 as second in their preliminary group.
