Lissahora , Upper Sorbian , is a district of the municipality of Neschwitz in the Bautzen district in Saxony . The place is in Upper Lusatia and is part of the official Sorbian settlement area . With only 4 inhabitants, Lissahora is the smallest district in the municipality of Neschwitz.
geography
Lissahora is located about 17 kilometers northwest of the large district town of Bautzen in the Upper Lusatian region . Surrounding villages are Caßlau in the north, Lomske in the east, the community Puschwitz in the southeast, its district Jeßnitz in the south and Doberschütz in the west.
District road 7284 runs south from Neschwitz to Crostwitz past Lissahora. The village is in the district of Lomske.
history
The place was first mentioned in 1572 as Lyssehar . The place name, which comes from Sorbian, means something like "Fuchsberg" and subsequently changed from Lißkahare (1634) to Lißaharo (1722) to Lißehare in 1768. In 1950 the place was meanwhile called Hohwald .
Lissahora belonged to the municipality of Lomske and was incorporated into Neschwitz on April 1, 1936 as part of it . As part of the community, Lissahora was from July 25, 1952 in the then newly formed district of Bautzen . After the fall of the Berlin Wall , Lissahora was assigned to the old district of Bautzen on August 1, 1994 , and since the district reform in Saxony on August 1, 2008 , Lissahora has belonged to the Bautzen district .
Lissahora heard since the 16th century the church Neschwitz.
Cultural monuments
The two buildings Lissahora 2 (residential stable house and two side buildings in a row of a farm, 1842) and Lissahora 4 (executioner's house, 1792) are protected as cultural monuments.
