In the round barn , a horse always ran in circles and pulled a threshing cart that separated the grains from the chaff as it passed over the grain. This technique was probably invented around 1770 by a farmer from Hälsingland , it was widespread in Norrland . With the advent of mechanical threshing machines, the round barns lost their importance and fell into disrepair; the one in Viätt is one of the few that have survived. 1859 Jan. 27, 1995 21400000693881

There are two islands in the river here, the Klockestrandsbron was created as a connection from the east bank and the Sandöbron from the west bank over the west island to the east island. When the bridge piers were poured, the basic structure collapsed and 20 workers died, which is still one of the most serious accidents at work in Sweden today. When it was completed in 1943, the Sandöbron was the longest arched bridge in the world with a span of 262 meters . 1939-1943 Jan. 30, 2003 21300000012805

The kiosk, however, remained standing and was subsequently approved by the provincial government in 1946. The building continues to be used as a café and pastry shop. 1946 Dec 13, 1996 21300000012976
