Ensembles
Ensemble old town Bad Brückenau
The city district ( location ) with the north-south running street of the old town, which was largely spared by the fire in 1876, was originally called Neustadt and represents the suburb of Brückenau, which was created after the city was founded in the 13th century. The old town runs at right angles to the main street of the actual City and is built on with courtyards, the houses of which in a closed row of gables, slightly offset from one another, form the street walls. It is mostly about half-hipped roof buildings with partly clapboard half-timbered upper floors, the core of the 16th / 17th Century. A suburban quarter of small houses, mostly in half-timbered construction, is located in front of the street to the northeast in front of the Obertor on the street of the same name and on Siebenbrückengasse. Ensemble of Bad Brückenau spa facilities
The healing springs, newly discovered in 1747, led under the prince abbots of Fulda Amand von Buseck and Heinrich von Bibra to the establishment of a health resort independent of the city of Brückenau ( Lage ). On both sides of a main avenue that crosses the Sinntal and directed from north to south, pavilions were built by 1749 and on the northern slope, as a point-de-vue, a transverse building with ancillary buildings. The main features of this facility remained decisive for the expansion of the bath under Ludwig I and at the beginning of the 20th century. Of the baroque buildings, the elevated transverse structure (today's Fürstenhof) and a pavilion, the "deer", have been preserved. Around 1830 the west side was monumentalized with the construction of the late classical Kursaal and the buildings of the Badhotel and the Elisabethenhof that flanked it and reoriented on a transverse axis. In response to this, the magnificent neo-baroque building of the spa hotel was built around 1900 on the opposite side. Some pavilion-like villas, built after 1900 and symmetrically arranged in relation to the main axis, document the attempt of the Art Nouveau period to get closer to the main features of the original layout of the 18th century. To the south, the main avenue joins the classicist basement building designed as a final prospectus. File number: E-6-72-113-2

Remarks
- ↑ This list may not correspond to the current status of the official list of monuments. The latter can be viewed on the Internet as a PDF using the link given under web links and is also mapped in the Bavarian Monument Atlas . Even these representations, although they are updated daily by the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation , do not always and everywhere reflect the current status. Therefore, the presence or absence of an object in this list or in the Bavarian Monument Atlas does not guarantee that it is currently a registered monument or not. The Bavarian List of Monuments is also an information directory. The property of a monument - and thus the legal protection - is defined in Art. 1 of the Bavarian Monument Protection Act (BayDSchG) and does not depend on the mapping in the Monument Atlas and the entry in the Bavarian Monument List. Objects that are not listed in the Bavarian Monument List can also be monuments if they meet the criteria according to Art. 1 BayDSchG. Early involvement of the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation according to Art. 6 BayDSchG is therefore necessary in all projects.
