Topography of Benin

This is a list of the rivers in Benin . The two main catchment areas of Benin are the Niger and the Ouémé . The Ouémé catchment area takes up almost half of the country's area. It drains the entire southern half of the country with the Mono and Couffo.

41.2% of the country drains north into the Niger, which also forms the northern border of Benin.

The remaining land area in the northwest drains via the Oti and its tributaries into the Volta system. The Oti catchment area covers 13.7% of the country's area.
