List of rivers in Liberia
This is a list of the rivers in Liberia . The rain-rich country drains mostly in a relatively straight line from northeast to southwest into the Atlantic . Most of the rivers in Liberia are small to medium-sized coastal rivers or their tributaries. There are seven larger rivers that have their headwaters in, or on the border, with Guinea. The Mano , Moa , Lofa and the Saint Paul Rivers arise on or on the edge of the Beyla plateau , the rivers Saint John River , Cestos River and Cavally on the Nimbaberge . The largest river is the Cavally, which however only has part of its catchment area in Liberia.
