IC 4827 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sab in the constellation Peacock on southern sky . It is around 193 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 165,000 light years . The galaxy is considered a member of the IC 4845 group ( LGG 427 ).
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy IC 4836 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on August 13, 1901 .
