IC 4845 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type S / P in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky . It is around 173 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 80,000 light years .

The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on August 13, 1901 .
