IC 4828 is a galaxy of Hubble type S? in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky . It is around 168 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 55,000 light years . The galaxy is considered a member of the IC 4845 group ( LGG 427 ).
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6746 , IC 4824 , IC 4831 , IC 4833 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on August 13, 1901 .
