Municipalities by province and territory

This list includes the parishes in the Canadian province of Nunavut . There are currently 25 parishes.

The territory is divided into the following regions:

In Nunavut, too, a distinction is made between different categories of churches. Due to the small number of inhabitants, the division is not so much based on these, all municipalities must have at least 25 inhabitants. The division is based on the value of the land. A theoretical distinction is made between:

Due to the legal requirements of the province, the Cities, Towns and Villages Act and the Hamlets Act , almost all municipalities currently only have the status of Hamlet . Only one municipality achieves a different status, that of a city .

The table only contains the locations that have the municipality status of City , Town or Village .
