The entire hamlet of Kilsbach | Overall facility location |
The hamlet consists of four large four-sided courtyards, three of which are in a loose group in the valley floor, while the fourth courtyard is a little higher off. Although the buildings date from different times and have been renewed several times, the hamlet is nevertheless an example of a large farming settlement from the 19th century in its almost original form, embedded in the landscape formed by the cultivated fields and meadows. The hamlet was therefore together with the surrounding land as the entire system under monument protection provided. | 19th century |

Schnellerts ruin | Schnellert's location hall: 3, parcel: 83 |
Ruins of a small castle from the late Hohenstaufen period (first half of the 13th century). The castle was built by the Lords of Crumbach from Rodenstein to protect them from the expansion-minded taverns from Erbach, was owned by Breuberg in 1391 and was probably destroyed shortly afterwards. In 1742 the castle was already described as an ancient ruin. The considerable stone remains had been removed by the middle of the 19th century. The ring walls of the complex were excavated in 1886. The main castle was an irregular hexagon with a maximum diameter of 36.5 meters and was surrounded by an approximately two-meter-thick rubble stone wall. The round keep in the east of the complex, the stump of which was preserved, had a diameter of 6.45 meters. The remaining buildings can only be identified fragmentarily. There were probably two half-timbered buildings and a massive stone house. Many finds of cannon balls, arrowheads and crossbow bolts support the thesis of the violent end of the castle. The ruins have been owned by the Counts of Erbach-Schönberg since 1747. It is a scene of the legend of the Rodensteiner , the Schnellertsherrn, who moves as a "wild hunter" through the air to the Rodenstein. The Ohly Tower was built as a lookout tower near the ruins in 1891 , but was demolished only a few years later. | 13th century |

Evangelical Church (formerly St. Markus) | Höchster Straße 1 Location hall: 1, parcel: 8 |
The church is a late Gothic pseudo-basilica , the almost square, three-aisled and three-bay nave of which is connected to the tower in the west and the choir to the east. A sacristy was built into the corner between the choir and the nave. The tower is dated 1503, the stone pulpit in front of the choir 1526 and the polygonal choir in the triumphal arch 1527, which should indicate the time the church was built. Karl Wernher from Erbach worked as a stonemason at the church and left his stonemason mark on the pulpit. A font from the 15th century probably comes from a previous building, which, given the location of the church on a small hill, probably existed as a medieval fortified church. In the church there are tombs from the 16th and 18th centuries and a wooden crucifix from the 17th century. The shield walls of the central nave are decorated with apostle paintings from 1703/14. | 1503-27 |

Two-storey, gable-independent half-timbered house with a gable roof, dated 1766 on the corner post. The house has double head braces on the gable and especially on the courtyard side, as can also be found on the older, neighboring rectory. On the courtyard side, where the ground floor is massive, protrudes a roofed basement neck, which is rarely found in this form. | 1766 |

Residential building | Schulstraße 15 Location hallway: 1, parcel: 357 |
Two-storey half-timbered house with a gable roof, with naturally curved struts, man figures, St. Andrew's crosses and richly profiled thresholds and frames. There are numerous inscriptions and dates on the threshold and corner post, according to which the house was built in 1614 by the master carpenters Lautenschläger. This makes the building the oldest half-timbered building in Wersau. Next to the entrance door there is a roofed basement neck that has been preserved from the construction period. | 1614 |
