List of cultural assets in Courtelary

The list of cultural assets in Courtelary contains all objects in the municipality of Courtelary in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict and the Ordinance of 29 June 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects of category A are not shown in the municipality, objects of category B are fully included in the list, objects of category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments protected objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

1908 built Sekundarschulhaus in home style . The monumental building shapes the townscape and appears very varied due to the staggered structure and the different roof shapes. The main focus is the central tower with a pointed helmet and clockwork. The façades, which rest on a basement, consist of limestone and cement elements; with their lacquered bricks and friezes , they offer a colorful appearance.

Built shortly after 1606 as the castle of the Prince-Bishop of Basel , today used as a district administration. Remarkable mansion under a large half- hipped roof decorated with roof decorations . The southern main facade comprises eight irregularly distributed axes . The building stands between a baroque garden in the south and a paved courtyard in the north, the area is surrounded by a stone wall.

Romanesque style church building from the 10th or 11th century . Originally consecrated to St. Himerius , it was expanded in the 14th, 17th and 18th centuries and finally rebuilt from 1933 to 1936 by Louis Bueche with historicizing elements. Inside there are wall paintings from around 1400 and 1642.
