List of National Historic Sites of Canada in Newfoundland and Labrador

This list includes all buildings, objects and sites in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador that have the status of a National Historic Site of Canada (French lieu historique national du Canada ). The Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada , as an agency within the remit of the Canadian Federal Environment Ministry , has so far included 46 sites on this list. As of September 2017 , nine of these sites are currently managed by Parks Canada .

Quarry for the extraction of Ramah Chert . The distinctive and important type of stone was used by several ancient cultures of the Northeast to make tools and other objects. Ramah Chert was the most widespread tool stone known in Northeast Canada, and it was the base for long-distance transportation networks that stretched across easternmost Canada and into New England.
