1 | European beech north of Lavesum | in the field corridor north of Lavesum | The double-stemmed red beech (twin with main and secondary shoots) is located on Hülstener Weg in the north of Lavesum and, due to its exposed location in the middle of the fields, is characteristic of the landscape. The tree is worth protecting both from an ecological point of view and for aesthetic reasons. | 4.5 - 28 - 20
2 | Multi-stemmed European beech in the Hohemarkenbusch NSG | in Sundern, Stadtforst Haltern, in the northeast of NSG No. 6 "Hohemarkenbusch", west of Hennewig | 5.8 -? - 23
3 | Hexenbuchen in the Hohe Mark | southwest of the Waldbeerenberg in the Hohen Mark | The twisted or crippled growth of this variety of the common beech [Fagus sylvatica var. Suentelensis Schelle (1903) syn. Fagus sylvatica var. Tortuosa Willkomm (1887)] has always stimulated people's imagination. Since it is of more aesthetic value than wood industry, it is rarely found. Especially since the middle of the 18th century in the Süntel in Lower Saxony a large part of them have been felled for the purpose of economically more effective forest use, the Süntel beeches represent a rarity of cultural and historical importance. The rustic appearance of the group of trees is a value-determining feature of natural monument no. 3. Crooked and gnarled, the shoots of the trees appear like witches' fingers, which is why they are also called "witch beeches". |

1 | Oak at Telgeskamp | at "Telgeskamp" immediately northeast of a crossroads with two farm entrances | Located directly on a farm road and crossroads, this tree characterizes the landscape and townscape on Telgeskamp. The tree with its unusually even, spreading crown, which stands alone between small, well-structured farm areas and courtyards, is immediately recognizable as a natural monument, even for the uninformed visitor. | 4 - 25 -?
2 | Linden tree on the Alte Hagemer Landstrasse | at the intersection of Alte Hagemer Landstrasse and Dahlstrasse | The linden tree, together with a crossroads, has been marking this formerly central intersection between Horneburg, Hagen and Rapen for centuries; it dominates the flat and largely undeveloped landscape here. | ? - 30 - 25 |
