List of the rectors of the University of Erfurt

The seal of the Old University of Erfurt

This list of the rectors of the University of Erfurt is still incomplete.

At the old university, as at other medieval universities, the rector was evidently re-elected for the winter and summer semesters.

The University of Erfurt, which was founded in 1992, is headed and represented by a president who is elected for 6 years. If he is a university professor, he can also use the designation "Rector".
