List of Swiss ski champions
The list of Swiss ski champions lists all athletes who have won the title of Swiss ski master as well as the Swiss ski master.
For men, the title of Swiss Ski Champion was awarded from the first Swiss Ski Championships in 1905 to 1933 for the combination of cross-country and ski jumping . There were no championship titles in the individual disciplines during this time, but until 1908 there was next to the "International Ski Championship", for which the title of Swiss Ski Master was awarded and which could be won by every amateur, including foreign participants, another " Swiss Ski Championship of the SSV ”, exclusively for members of a club belonging to the Swiss Ski Association , as well as a“ Ski championship for guides ”, which was reserved for active mountain guides . From 1909 there was only one “Swiss Championship”, in which foreign participants were still entitled to the title. In 1934, the title of Swiss ski champion was awarded for the first time in a four-way combination of cross-country skiing, jumping, downhill and slalom . Since that year there have also been championship titles in the individual disciplines at the Swiss ski championships, and from 1943 also in Alpine and Nordic combined . From 1942 a junior champion title in the combination of four was awarded. Since 1947, the men's four combination has not been held and the Swiss ski championship is no longer awarded. For the juniors, this championship was held until 1951 (with the exception of 1947).
The women’s first official championship titles in downhill and slalom at the 30th Swiss ski race in Davos in 1936 , after these disciplines had been part of the Swiss ski championships for the first time for women five years earlier. For the combination of both disciplines (= Alpine Combination), the title of Swiss Ski Champion was awarded until 1950.
