Catholic parish church hl. Margareta ObjectID : 71672 |
Gartengasse KG location : Enzesfeld |
The parish church stands in the west of the village on the slope below the castle. The three-aisled Gothic hall church has an inconsistent nave with components from the Romanesque and early Gothic. The baroque north tower under a pointed helmet was built in 1793. A renovation in the years 1955–1974 impaired the historical appearance of the church inside and out. |

The castle stands on a ledge of the Pfarrkogel to the west above the village and is surrounded by a large park. The horseshoe-shaped, two-storey complex is open to the west. From the first castle from the 12th century, the high keep in the north-west has been preserved. In the late baroque era, the building, which was essentially medieval, was given a new facade. Lindabrunn Chapel ObjectID : 79498 |
at Hernsteinerstraße 93 KG location : Lindabrunn |
Ogre-arched building, framed by hewn stones, 5 m high, 3.5 m wide, tin roof, front man-high wrought iron grille. The chapel was originally located at house number 66 at the entrance to the village, but was transferred to house number 93 as a traffic obstacle in 1958. In the chapel is a baroque cross, body life-size, mounted, which was reportedly donated by the landowner Karoline Schoenburg-Hartenstein to 1865th Below on the altar table is a heavily weathered Pietà made of St. Margarethen sand-lime stone with sparse remnants of former painting. The stone slab attached to the front of the altar bears the year 1593 - probably related to the Pietà. For the monogram M. W. Msgr. A. Huber , no reference to a Lindabrunn family can be found in the relevant documents from 1568 to 1700. If the sculpture comes from the Heidekirchlein St. Radegund , Steinabrückl , as is suspected, the donors in Matzendorf-Hölles can be assumed. Of its kind , the chapel is the oldest sacred work of art in the community. |
