The Goldberg is Reisenberg's local mountain. Archaeological finds such as a grave from the La Tène period and Roman coins show that the area was already used by the Celts and later by the Romans. From the middle of the 12th century there are indications of a fortified residence that existed until around 1300. The medieval fortified church, built in the middle of the house mountain, was later converted to Baroque style and elevated to the status of a parish church.
