Castle 1, 2, 2A, 2B, 3, 4, 7 KG
location
: Kottingbrunn
The castle in the southeast of the village, surrounded by wide moats, is a closed four-wing complex. Already at the beginning of the 13th century there was a late Romanesque moated castle. After many changes of ownership since the 18th century, the state of construction was impaired. In 1992 it was bought by the municipality and renovated; today it houses, among other things, the municipal office. The outer facades with towers are mainly characterized by the renovations of the 17th century; Several details of the late Gothic extension were uncovered again. The originally medieval chapel in the southwest wing was rebuilt and refurbished in the 17th century.

The farm yard is separated from the castle by the moat and can be reached via a bridge and a bell tower from 1693 to 1695. The two-storey farm buildings with a hook-shaped floor plan were built before 1672 and redesigned at the end of the 17th century.

Note: The two until 2018 separately protected part objects Wasserschloss Kottingbrunn (ID: 32306) and Wirtschaftshofanlage (ID: 101950) were combined in 2019 into one object.
