The two-storey building under a hipped roof was erected in 1785 over an older predecessor, the facade dates from 1960. Inside, a groin vaulted hallway from the end of the 16th century. One window shows Biedermeier animal representations on slugs and dates from the 19th century.

The former inn (?) Is a courtyard with an elongated stable wing and is now used as a residential building. The original facade was destroyed at the beginning of the 20th century; a wrought-iron sign “Zum Elefanten” is marked with 1740.

Note: Sign cannot be found, facade was renovated in 2009.

The church of Altenmarkt, first mentioned in the early 15th century, was elevated to a parish church in 1782 and significantly redesigned in the following years, including the construction of the nave and the tower . The two-bay Gothic choir of the old church was incorporated into the new building.

The basilica of Klein-Mariazell was originally the collegiate church of a monastery founded in the 12th century . The three-aisled pillar basilica with transept, choir square and three apses was lavishly renovated in Baroque style from 1752 to 1759 . In 1782 the monastery was dissolved (later privatized and demolished in 1964) and the monastery church became a parish church. A general renovation took place from 1994 to 1998, including a new hall and ancillary rooms. In 2007 the parish and pilgrimage church was elevated to a minor basilica .

The Scheder memorial is dedicated to the courageous soldier Ferdinand Scheder, who was born on May 7th, 1824 as the twelfth child of the couple Joseph and Magdalena Scheder and died of his injuries on February 28th, 1849 after the Battle of Szolnok (received due to his extraordinary achievement he received the gold medal for bravery shortly before his death).
