The remarkable moated castle, a cubic three-storey building from the 15th / 16th centuries. Century, emerged from the residential building of a castle. The castle has pointed arch portals, chamfered stone window frames and coffered ceilings.

The small late Gothic church with the nave built into the slope and the choir that has just closed was built around 1460 and received a roof turret in 1863. The paintings inside are from the construction period. The remarkable main altar, made by Johann Benedikt Fromiller, has a central image of St. Catherine from 1463.

The high bridge over the Maltaschlucht gorge probably dates back to the 16th century and is one of the last remaining covered wooden bridges in Carinthia.

The church with its massive tower north of the indented choir and the west portal with a late Gothic profile was built in several stages from the 13th to the end of the 15th century. Frescoes from the construction period have been exposed outside and inside. The high altar with sacrificial portals is from 1782.

The castle ruin Ödenfest is located above Malta at an altitude of 1000 meters. The castle was first mentioned between 1075 and 1090. In the 12th century it came to the Counts of Heunburg. In the 14th century the castle was already in ruins. Today only an eight-meter-long wall and remains of the wall are preserved.

The Romanesque castle, which fell into disrepair since the end of the Middle Ages, can be identified as Castrum Sunnenbergk iuxta Mallantin Fluvium before 1345 . The tower with the walls up to five meters high dates from the 11th or 12th century.

Grojkeusche is marked 1774 on the roof. It is the last example of the elongated courtyard typical of the Lieser and Maltatal valleys that has been preserved in its original state. The single-storey wide-gabled house with knee-length floor, nailed shingles and a covered purlin chair roof has a high entrance to the upper floor of the barn on the gable front on the mountain side. A smoking room apartment, a courtyard, cattle sheds, the barn and the threshing floor are united under a ridge. The typical furnishings have been preserved in the smoking room.

Description: Brief information about the monument.

The table is sorted alphabetically according to the location of the monument. The sorting criterion is the cadastral municipality and within this the address.
