List of German ambassadors in Djibouti

The list of German ambassadors in Djibouti contains the ambassadors of the Federal Republic of Germany in Djibouti .

Djibouti and the Federal Republic of Germany established diplomatic relations on January 23, 1978.

The German embassy in Djibouti was opened in 2010. Diplomat Jörg Kinnen, who was the first ad interim German chargé d'affaires based in Djibouti from February 2010 to June 2010, prepared the opening of the German embassy. The diplomat Dietmar Anton Bock became the first German ambassador to be based in Djibouti.

Previously, the German ambassadors in Yemen were usually double accredited for Djibouti . The German embassy in Addis Ababa , Ethiopia, is still responsible for consular relations .

Djibouti plans to open an embassy in Berlin shortly. So far, relations with Germany have been handled through the Djibouti embassy in Paris .
