Litostroj Steel Ltd. is a Slovenian company.

Company history

Titovi Zavodi Litostroj was founded in 1947 in Ljubljana in what was then Yugoslavia for steel production. Automobiles were made between 1969 and 1972 . In 1991 the name was changed to Litostroj Tovarna Ulitkov doo , in 1999 to Litostroj Ulitki doo and in 2007 to Litostroj Steel Ltd. The company has also been active in the electricity market since 2000.

Hydro energy

Litostroy is a major company in the heavy industry sector. Especially water turbines for dam projects could be exported in large numbers.

vehicles

The company signed a contract with Renault for the assembly of passenger cars . Production of the Renault 4 began in November 1969 . Initially on offer were the Renault 4 models as passenger cars and delivery vans , 6 , 8 , 10 and 16 . In 1970 the 12 was added to the range as a sedan and station wagon . Production ended in September 1972. A total of 20,449 copies were made. Renault then agreed with Industrija Motornih Vozil from Novo mesto to continue licensed production.
