Litzelröder is a settlement that belongs to the core town of Lindenfels in the Odenwald in the Bergstrasse district in Hesse .

Geographical location

Litzelröder is a settlement on the northern outskirts of the core town of Lindenfels in the Vorderen Odenwald and is connected to this via the federal road 47 known as Nibelungenstrasse . The place is east of the main road between the Buch ( 535.3  m above sea level ) in the north and the Schenkenberg ( 479.6  m above sea level ) in the south, whose forest areas extend to the vicinity of the settlement. In the east, the settlement extends to the Bismarckwarte on the Litzelröder Höhe ( 452  m above sea level ), which was completed there as a lookout tower in 1907.

The Litzelröder settlement is accessed from the west by the Kirschenweg , which branches off from the Nibelungenstrasse and runs through the whole of Litzelröder with three switchbacks to the Bismarckwarte. Coming from the south in the direction of the city center, the Buchweg branches off from Nibelungenstraße and joins the lower Kirschenweg. From these two main paths, three branch roads branch off: Am Buchacker, Fichtenweg and Birkenweg . According to the number of house numbers in these five streets, the Litzelröder settlement comprises 90 inhabited properties.

The closest localities are the core town of Lindenfels in the south, Schlierbach in the southwest, Winkel in the west and Winterkasten in the north.
