Lokomotiv Charkiw ( Ukrainian Локомотив Харків ; Russian Локомотив Харьков ) is a Ukrainian men's volleyball club from Kharkiv . The club was founded in 1973 and has been playing in the Ukrainian Super League since 1992 and in the Russian Super League since 2011.

Already at the time of the Soviet Union Lokomotiv Charkiw ( Charkow ) played in the top league. The best placement was achieved in 1978 as third. In the Ukrainian Super League, Lokomotiv has been in the top group from the start and has been champion twelve times and cup winners nine times. In 2003 they finished second in the European Top Teams Cup and even winners in 2004. In 2004/05 they took part in the Champions League , but were eliminated after the preliminary round. Since then, Lokomotiv has played continuously in the CEV Cup and Challenge Cup .
