Lona Dubois
Leonie Dubois , married Leonie Heinz , (* 14. August 1923 in Vienna , † 6. September 1978 ibid ) was an Austrian actress who in theater , film and television occurred.
Life
Lona Dubois was born as the daughter of the choreographer Leopold Dubois the Elder. J. born. She studied after the Second World War at the University of Vienna first theater studies and was 23-year with a thesis on Chinese and Javanese shadow theater doctorate . She first appeared in the “Studio of the Universities” ( Alsergrund ) and had her first great success in the role of the unknown in Ödön von Horváth's The Unknown from the Seine . Her college friends included u. a. Gusti Wolf and Hilde Sochor . From 1954 she played at the Burgtheater , where she was engaged until her death, apart from one season at the Basel Theater (1960).
Lona Dubois was married to the photographer Robert Heinz (1933–2019) and is the mother of three sons, including the actors Christopher Heinz and Florian Dubois.
She is buried in the Vienna Central Cemetery (12B-16-12).
