history
Two structures in Longport are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) as of September 29, 2018, the Church of the Redeemer and the Great Egg Coast Guard Station .
Demographics
The 2000 census found 1,054 residents in 544 households and 317 families. The population density is 1,070.9 inhabitants per km². 98.58% of the population is White, 0.09% African American , 0.00% Native American , 1.14% Asian , 0.00% Pacific Islander , 0.00% from other races, and 0.19% mixed race . 0.47% are Latinos of various origins.
