Lore Plietzsch

Lore Plietzsch (born September 18, 1930 in Altenburg ) is a German sculptor . She lives in Berlin .

Life

Lore Plietzsch studied from 1947 to 1952 at the University of Architecture and Fine Arts in Weimar , with Siegfried Tschiersky among others . Afterwards she was a master student of Fritz Cremer at the Academy of the Arts of the GDR . From 1956 she worked as a freelancer.

As early as 1962 it was planned to have a memorial for the Ravensbrück concentration camp carried out by Lore Plietzsch; but the order ultimately went to Will Lammert and Fritz Cremer .
