Lore Schretzenmayr

Lore Schretzenmayr (born Schiepeck ; * July 4, 1925 in Aussig ; † January 12, 2014 in Regensburg ) was a German genealogist .

Life

Schretzenmayr attended elementary school and high school in Aussig . Her expulsion after the Second World War took her with her mother and sister to Regensburg via Cottbus , Saxony and the Bavarian Forest . She attended the hotel management school in Bad Reichenhall and then worked in this area, including in Rüdesheim am Rhein . She was married to the architect Helmut Schretzenmayr, who died in 1987. The marriage had two children.

Schretzenmayr joined the Bavarian State Association for Family Studies in 1968 and in 1991 became chairwoman of its Upper Palatinate district group. Until recently she was a delegate in the national assembly of the association. In 1971 she was one of the founding members of the Association of Sudeten German Family Researchers (VSFF) with membership number 4 . In this association she was initially treasurer and from 1995 to 2001 chairwoman. She then became involved as an advisory board member of the association. From 1986 to 1990 she was on the board of the Working Group of East German Family Researchers , until 1998 its deputy secretary and headed the working group's Sudetenland Research Center from 1995/1996 and from 1997 to 2001 .

Schretzenmayr was one of the organizers of the German Genealogy Days in Regensburg in 1976 and in Passau in 1982 . From 1987 to 2001 she also headed the Sudeten German Genealogical Archive (SGA) in Regensburg. Your estate is now being kept in this archive. After the turn she was one of the founders of the Academy of genealogy, heraldry and related sciences , in the Bureau , she was a member. She is buried in the Evangelical Central Cemetery in Regensburg.
