Lorelei Lee (born March 2, 1981 in San Francisco , California ) is an American porn actress . The name is a pseudonym that she preferred based on the role played by Marilyn Monroe in the film Blondes .

Career

Lorelei Lee started working in the porn industry when she was nineteen. Since then she has starred in over 200 films. At first she worked for fetish websites like Kink.com . Only later did she sign a contract with an agent and work on productions at the major studios in the San Fernando Valley .

2007, Lorelei Lee and Princess Donna , who has also worked for Kink.com, the main characters of the documentary - short film Tale of two Bondage Models of Brian Lilla , who in 2008 at the Tribeca Film Festival was shown. Also in 2008, Lee was involved in the documentary 9to5 - Days in Porn and performed nationally on the Sex Workers' Art Show alongside other prominent members of the kink and sex positive movement.

The following year she appeared in the documentary Graphic Sexual Horror , which explores the background to the defunct BDSM porn site Insex . Another documentary short film dealt with her as the title person: The film Lorelei Lee by Simon Grudzen and Jesse Kerman was shown in 2010 at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival and the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival . In the latter, he won several awards.

In 2010, an essay by Lee, I'm leaving you, was published in the book Off the Set: Porn Stars and Their Partners by photographer Paul Sarkis . The book deals with the relationships of porn actors off the screen in the form of photos. Lorelei Lee and her then partner are also shown in it.

Also in 2010 Lee was supposed to testify as a defense witness in the so-called Buttman trial . It was about John Stagliano's film Milk Nymphos , in which Lee had starred and which also features enemas . As of 2008, there was therefore a process of profanity in a US federal court. However, the case was dropped on July 16, 2010 before her testimony. Shortly afterwards she said in an interview with the website Salon.com that she had informed the jury as a witness about the sequence of the shooting and the safety precautions. She also stated in the interview that she considered films like Milk Nymphos to be important because of the divergent portrayal of female sexuality from many mainstream productions; Instead of being viewed as pure pleasure objects, the women in such films have their own needs.

In May 2011, Variety announced the production of Stephen Elliott's independent feature film Cherry, starring James Franco , Heather Graham and Lili Taylor . The film, which was shown at the Berlinale in 2012 , tells the story of a young woman who becomes a porn actress and director, and thus gives an insight into the porn industry. The screenplay for the film was written by Elliott and Lorelei Lee in autumn 2010. However, it is not an autobiographical film.

Lorelei Lee graduated from San Francisco State University and began a Masters in Creative Writing from New York University in 2009 . She was awarded a scholarship from the YoungArts Foundation.
