Beitun ( Chinese  北屯 市 , Pinyin Běitún Shì , Uighur بەيتۈن شەھىرى, Bəytün Xəⱨiri ) is a district- free city in the north of the Uyghur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang in the People's Republic of China , which was founded on December 28, 2011 and is directly subordinate to the regional government (and not like other urban districts at the district level) . It is surrounded by the Altay administrative district , between the city of Altay and the Burultokay district . Your administrative area has an area of ​​910.5 square kilometers and a population of 76,300 (2011). The area of ​​the new town of Beitun consists of the large municipality of Beitun, which formerly belonged to the town of Altay, and the production and construction corps No. 183, 187 and 188, which previously belonged to the Burultokay district.

Administrative structure
