Lorna Luft (born November 21, 1952 in Santa Monica , California ) is an American singer and actress .

Life

Lorna Luft is the daughter of Judy Garland and Sidney Luft . She grew up in Hollywood with her half-sister Liza Minnelli and younger brother Joey Luft until their parents divorced in 1965. At this point Lorna began to take care of her drug-addicted mother intensively and traveled with her from concert tour to concert tour. She performed with her brother at her mother's concerts and after her mother's death in 1969, like her older half-sister, tried her hand as a singer and actress in show business. She played in some Broadway though-Shows and a few films, but had no comparable success. Lorna Luft has been married for the second time since 1996 and has two children, a son and a daughter, from her first marriage. In 1998 she published her successful autobiography under the title Me and my Shadows: Living with the Legacy of Judy Garland , which was filmed in 2001 for American television with Judy Davis as Judy Garland.

In March 2018, she collapsed on stage during a performance in London. The diagnosed brain tumor was surgically removed shortly afterwards.
